Designing a FASHION BRAND for SOCIAL CHANGE

In early 2017, RFSU gave us the challenge to create a new brand and product line to support their work for body rights around the world. 

The result became ELISE — a fashion brand created as an homage to RFSU’s founding mother, Elise Ottesen-Jensen, and it’s forgotten fashion brand, Blommor och Bin, an icon of the 60s & 70s fashion in Sweden.

The purpose of ELISE is to empower people to take a stand for body rights together, in a time where rights concerning one’s body still are being threatened. The first collection emphasizes everyone’s right to decide over their body, sexuality and identity — which also is the core values of RFSU.

ELISE and it’s first collection was launched in September of 2017, and sold exclusively online and at Colette in Paris.

In it’s first week, the collection sold out both online and at Colette, an has since been worn by international artists like Zara Larsson & Icona Pop as well as the Swedish Minister of Culture and thousands of people who have joined the fight for body rights.

AFFAIRS is responsible for all collections, creative and operational work.  The brands second collection will be released in mid 2018.
